Who we work with
Who we work with
Sligo Springboard Family Support Service works with families and children to alleviate stress, to overcome difficulties and to encourage each individual to reach their full potential. This may involve one-to-one focused intervention, advocacy with other agencies, and the introduction of needs led programmes such as Sligo Springboard Family Support Service’s Early Learning and Care Service and School Aged Childcare which includes a breakfast club and homework club.
We work with families supporting them with practical and emotional needs and parenting support as well as with families who are experiencing some of the following issues:
- Parental separation,
- Children exposed to trauma,
- Homelessness,
- Bereavement / loss,
- Domestic violence,
- Parental substance abuse,
- Parental mental health,
- Children leaving state care,
- Anxiety.
Our aim is to create a non-judgemental, safe place for adults and children to express themselves and be heard.
